Lone Joshua Tree
On the drive of my first trip to Joshua Tree National Park I was super curious about these Joshua trees. I'd read "Surrounded by twisted, spiky trees straight out of a Dr. Seuss book, you might begin to question your map. Where are we anyway? In wonder, the traveler pulls over for a snapshot of this prickly oddity." In time I reached the park gate and entered with eyes wide open hoping to be amazed. Close to the park's north entrance stood this sentinal of a tree, saying "welcome, we're glad you're here". My Nikon D800 was ready to make this, one of my most pleasing images of the trip."
